MRDO programs are managed by a cross-functional core team. Core team members have a dual responsibility; they are responsible for the project achieving its goals and they are responsible to ensure that the project complies with their function’s standards and best practices.

Sughra Solangi

Ms. Sughra  Solangi is the founder and Chief Executive of Marvi Rural Development Organization (MRDO). She is an exceptional example of what an oppressed woman can achieve through sheer determination and strength; she is working in development sector since two decades Sughra Solangi’s work has been recognized nationally and internationally for underserved and marginalized communities in pursuits of elimination of social suffering including access to education, basic health, infrastructure,  access to Justice, GBV &  women empowerment. Academically she has acquired Masters in Sociology. She is one of the luckiest Pakistani women who became first Ashoka Fellow in 1999; and was awarded as Best Creative Work in Rural Life in 1998 by World Women Summit Foundation in Switzerland and in 2011 received International Women of Courage Award by the Secretary of State Hilary Clinton and first lady Mischell Obama.

Salman Ali

Mr. Salman Ali is associated with organization from past 5 years having good knowledge and sufficient experience of Project Management, writing concept notes, proposals, logical frameworks. Have developed a number of successful proposals for fundraising.  Academically he has completed M.phil in Media Studies and produced a Video Documentary on “Bangle Industry of Hyderabad-Sindh”.He is also working as a permanent columnist with Daily Times newspaper from last 06- years and also writing for Daily Morning Mail on Op-Ed Pages. He has written bundle of articles and features on different socio-political issues of Pakistan for The News on Sunday TNS.He is working as Vice President Awami Press Club, Khairpur, Kumb Sindh and also associated with The Regional Times as Sukkur Correspondent.

Ali Hassan

Mr. Ali Hassan possessing a solid working knowledge of a variety of administrative & logistics and Financial Management policies, procedures from setting up a new system to operating and improving existing systems, he had worked with both corporate sector and development sector, having 15 years working experience in HR, Finance Procurement and Administration, he acquired MBA in Finance. He is responsible for maintaining MRDO’s financial integrity, preparing all financial reports efficiently and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), government regulations, MRDO’s policies and procedures, and donor requirements throughout the life of the project.

Saira

Ms. Saira Ahmed has been associated with Development sector since 10- years her field of expertise during her career span is Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, Project Management, conducting need assessment & developing community driven projects, facilitating donor delegations and responding complex Emergencies with National & International NGOs Academically, she has acquired BS (Hons) in Modern Language from NUML, Islamabad. Saira has been on continuous struggle from past 10 years to steer out Pakistani young women especially in Sindh from the clutches of injustice, discrimination and oppression. She believes that Social taboos don’t allow women to speak up and fear of reprisal causes them to continue being victims to abuse. It is about time they are encouraged to seek justice and relief. She has attended five weeks course on Peace and Security organized by Daniel k. Inouye Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawai USA. After this course at DKI APCSS, she started to initiate different key interventions in various communities of Sindh, Pakistan. Her research work was on Women and Peace and for doing this she implemented various activities in Rural Sindh. She organized community discussions, meetings and focus group discussions FGD’s with different young female of different localities of Sindh mainly Khairpur, Sukkur, Jacobabad on core issues of Women Rights, Sexual Harassment, Peace & Harmony, Civic and Fundamental Rights of Constitution of Pakistan. Within these meetings, she briefed these rural women of Sindh regarding first aid, police reporting, FIR lodging, prosecution, medical examination, forensics and post-trauma rehabilitation processes. By doing these trainings she strengthened, capacitated and motivated about 250 young rural females to struggle for their due rights given within the constitution of Pakistan. She also linked these females with different line departments like Social Welfare, Darul-Aman and Child Protection Unit for redressal. She has been awarded an APCSS-USA Alumni Achievement Award certificate by US-Embassy, Islamabad for his excellent work for Social Justice. She received this appreciation award from former US- Ambassador to Pakistan David Hale. She got this award because she has been organizing community discussions, meetings and focus group discussions FGD’s with different young female of different localities of Sindh mainly Khairpur, Sukkur, Jacobabad & Kashmore on core issues of Women Rights, Right to free Education, Peace & Harmony, Civic and Fundamental Rights of Constitution of Pakistan.
