Sughar Women
Sughar Women’s learning and Skills Development Project is an initiative of Sughar Foundation being implemented by MRDO in district Khairpur Mir’s, under this project MRDO aimed to support and sustain for livelihood of women in rural communities through providing skill development project initiative outlined by basic education and life skill, value addition in traditional embroidery and enterprises development.
Formal Education
MRDO running a Marvi Model Primary School in Khairpur in collaboration with Sui Southern Gas Company -SSGC, where 200 students (male and females) are enrolled and getting formal education free of cost with additional assistance of uniforms, school bags and books.This School is established in backward area of district Khairpur Mir’s where no any availability of existing education facility in radius of 5 kilometres.
Social Services & Climate Resilience
Currently MRDO with the collaboration of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund PPAF, is implementing a project to address Restoring Social Services and Climate Resilience in 02 Union Councils of District Sanghar (UC Hathungo and UC Hafiz Rajar). The project mainly aims to contribute to the Government of Pakistan’s efforts to alleviating poverty in the two flood affected Union Councils of district Sanghar through climate resilient sustainable development approaches to benefit local communities and public line departments. The project will focus on the social services in District Sanghar in terms of restoring the service health, education, WATSAN, and any other such facilities) as well as capacitating the service providers and district line departments for an improved resilience to climate change and disasters.
MRDO is implementing series of awareness activities on the implementation of JJSA 2018. Under this project MRDO wrote 1000 RTI applications to Lawyers, DBA Associations, Child Court Judges, Magistrates and District Administration, organized sessions with lawyers and relevant stakeholders. Moreover, MRDO is trying to make sure that juveniles who get in conflict with law be given due rights as embodied in 2018 Act and UN Convention on Rights of Child in lines with Article 37 of the same. MRDO aim for voicing against rampant violence against children across Pakistan.
